Staying at home with the kids
This is not something that our family can afford to do, but it fell into our laps, and I am rolling with it. I have worked as a nanny for the past 9 years, and I now have two kids of my own (1 and 3 years old). The little boy I watched for the past 5 years was off to kindergarten, and I decided to stay at home and watch a child here… My “husband” (we are not technically married) and I just bought our first home, and I have to say I am loving every minute of being here, I do not want to leave! I am making a lot less money than I was as a full time nanny…. and it has led me to explore money saving ventures… and I find myself loving coupon clipping, budgeting, gardening, sewing my own cloth napkins, thrift store shopping, and really stretching a dollar. I created this space to share thoughts and ideas on homemaking, and living frugally…
